Well this should be fun, and i do hope that you get to call your chocobo kinda like how you call your NPC, would make gettin around a little easier sometimes i think. I like the fact that it is like gardening...oh wait i have to talk to the stable people...::wonders what lag will be like around stables now:: But overall i think it will be a blast

...uh who gets the baby chocobo from the "introduction" of your chocobo and your friends?

Yeah, hopefully some form of automated raising if you are going to be away for a period of time at the local chocobo houses for a small amount of gil - god, its going to go pokemon I know it is. Of course there should be a bonus for players who invest more time personally taking care of them.

I dont know but this to me "some players may come across an extremely rare variety… " sounds like some eggs will be acquired by some "expensive means"

And possibly a new AH category (Misc > Eggs perhaps?)

If there is a new AH category for eggs, or other chocobo raising stuff, I think they will cost alot.

I was never really clear on this with gardening, but... If I have to feed my chocobo once every RL day, with reset on JP midnight, I can deal with that for a couple months. If it's every 24 hours, I am going to have a lot of chocobo corpses to dispose of.

Speaking of which, I wonder if they'll actually have the chocobos die if you don't feed them, or if they'll just "run away" or something. I'm guessing the latter. Kind of hoping for the latter; after seeing quite a few withered plants in my mog house, I don't want to see a withered chocobo.

But does this mean that once we get our own chocobo, then we don't have to pay the stables to ride anymore (I mean after all, we shouldn't be charged to ride our own chocobo)?

Tarutarus onry get chickens. Humes/elvaan/mithra get donkeys. Galka get elephants.

Even if the item wasn't "expensive" before this update, all of a sudden the prices will skyrocket! Or if its new items you need (maybe like from the vendors at the choco stables) they are sure to be camped like the clothcraft guild for those new pup materials!

wow just thought of something, maybe that choco bedding (furniture) will actually be useful!

Of course they will runaway. Then the next time somebody does the Chocobo License Quest, your character will be the bad chocobo owner.

Does anybody remember the chocobo game for the pocket station that you could play with FFVIII. I recently found a pc version of it and I've been playing it along with FFXI. I wish they would have something like it to raise your chocobo.

Think real life horses and bording costs. I doubt the chickens will die if untended. Probably just take you longer to be able to ride it.

As far as it being like plants, just log in once a day, put up your "Away" flag, go feed your Choco, and log off. There have been days where I have been so busy that all I did when I logged in was feed plants and do some AH transactions. Then logged right back off. So, most people should be able to do this quest.
