Yeah, that's what I'd like to have it for is when I switch to the other jobs to level. I had to restart over from scratch when I returned to FFXI so newbe equipment like the Silver Belt will be handy to have. It seems a bit more useful than those Easter Eggs. I haven't used the Eggs yet because +1%(HP or MP) and +1 Vit isn't that good imo to warrant using up a slot in my inventory. Once I am able to increase my inventory that might change. I hate running out of packspace while leveling, hehe.

I wanted one of the eggs for my WHM, but missed the Easter Event since I was at my boyfriend for easter. Gutted.

This will be good for levelling lower jobs, especially mage jobs. Its a godsend for you Taru though. ^^

I remember the first time this event came out, there were special prizes for the top people of each statistic. The prizes were some sort of equipments, something that enhances chocobo riding time similar to our chocobo gear today...

I just thought of this. Is this year's appreciation campaign going to be just this past year since the last time they did it? Or the total overall of all of deaths and things?

I don't remember getting anything for this last year. I also don't remember this event being anything special or exciting other than getting a low-down on your characters otherwise unknown stats (deaths, fights, chats, NPC conversations, parties joined, etc). Maybe the item I got was so anti-climatic that it wasn't worth remembering the details of the "event".

I think I would be a little dismayed if in order to get an equipment item, you had to have the highest in a particular statistic. Whether overall or just for the last year.

I have played for over 2 years and my death stat is quite gross. Despite my luck making just about anything aggro me (and I mean anything, very bizarre stories I could tell), it still would likely not be the highest on my server...

That belt (or especially the Gold Moogle Belt if it's a possible reward) would be so nice for my DRG/BRD for quite a few levels. I'm not seeing one I'd want more for the job until level 43, and that's iffy.

It should be the overall total from when you first created your character.

Ehh, you get a piece of furniture that doesnt do anything and a crappy belt. I personally love all the stats though.

Last year they were giving out the Homing and Return rings I believe. You had to group up with someone, travel to each of the three cities and talk to an NPC. After that you'd return to the moogle in the city you started the quest in and he'd give you a random reward.

Come to think of it, I still have those choco tickets...

I think one of my taru whm friends came out to 3 deaths every day, and each death per 4 playtime hour.

They need to give a title for that!

The stats themselves might not be exciting, but what would be interesting is would be comparing them to others. Somehow through RDM, BLM, WHM, MNK and probably some WAR by the 11th I haven't died much, or at least I don't remember dying much, and I don't death warp so I'm expecting that stat to be kinda low in comparison. WAR through the dunes might squew that though.
