Ok, quick question. Is it humanly possible to defeat the mithra armor? I've had no luck so far.

SE should have realized by now that the majority of the mithra population consists of manthras. So I don't see why not.

Not true. Was soloing one using Colored Eggs, Selbina Milk, and running out of Aetherial Toxin range to buy time to regen health. And yes, I kill two armors using this tactic.

Later I found out that you can prebuff. So I go WHM/BST or RDM/RNG to use Stoneskin, Blink, and then pull with Dia/Charm and still have widescan for use. It makes the regular armors completely soloable with little fuss... but that damn mithra. The mithra eats up your stoneskin, so you'll need a party of buddies to pull her near a HP and event moogle. When she drops you, you HP, buff, talk to moogle and you can quickly rotate people before she can drop all six of you.

I killed the mithra with a normal party of six people, we went to Pashhow Marshlands and all set HP at the outpost, lured the mithra to the outspost, and just kept fighting, dieing, HPing, fightnig, dieing, HPing, etc... took us an hour, but she was killed.

4 gold carps.

A awful event, imo. Spent 2 hrs and got no where. noone wanted to do event, so i soloed the elvaan , then i die. At the final attack hr had a sliver of hp and killed me, I came back just in time to see someone delieve the final blow n get the medal.

Also the 1 shotting mithra with the huge aggro range was greatly unappreciated.

lol i tried to kill one of them in i beleave west ron. and another one (cat) hit me for 54 dmg>< lol i got a 13 member party to kill her but she killed us all any way to kill? with out dieing?

The event should be over for this year by now.

But no, there isn't a way to beat the mithra without dieing alot. The best way is to get alot of people buffed with SS and Blink, and pull her to HP and event moogle as described previously.

The "medals" are equipped neck pieces that have 10 charges with either a 20 hour or 24 hour cooldown timer, don't remember which. There are 3 versions, one version for each of the home nations. For Sandora you have the Kingdom Stables Collar, it warps you to the chocobo stables in south sandy. Bastok Republic stables medal, Windy is Federation Stables Scarf. Each one warps you to the appropriate chocobo stable for that nation.

defeating the mithra got you four gold carps... just useless information, I beat it twice, in West Ronfaure and Pashhow Marshlands.
