Ah that's right, guess I didn't remember all the details from last year. I think I subbed white mage too, for safety. But possibly isn't required.

just tried to do this event quest think they tweaked it ? .. just attacked the Armour like last time & was delt 50 dmg ? of course thats death @ lvl 1 any1 else tried this thing yet ?

I think it's a 3 day event. But to what end?

once you talk to a nomad moogle you're stuck at level 1 for three days unless you die.

the armor seems to be attackable by anyone at any time. some people were attacking one that was purple (i didnt notice if they called for help or not)

we defeated it. it dropped elvaan mochi and a candy drop thing or somethin >.>

Apparently not, zoning to another outdoor area will also get rid of it too.
I traveled from East Sarutabaruta to Tahrongi Canyon, and when I zoned to Tahrongi I was back at my normal level. I was going to use this event to get to Jueno for my Chocobo license but it didn't work

jeez read POL people. the event started yesterday and goes to may 11 midnight PST.

you have 3 armors that drop mochi's and colored drops. then there is the mithra armor, which can aggro and has alot of hp as well as one shots you. plus it warps, sometimes as far as a whole square on the grid, and it can do it mulitiple times. you could be chasing after the hume armor when the mithra pops behind you, one shots you, and then is gone before you knew what happened.

the mithran armor drops gold carp, up to 4 i think. your best bet is to get close to zone that has a hp nearby it. then attack it with an alliance and hp when you die and come out and attack it again. MNK helps for its 2hr as well as PLD.

this year's special item is the Regional Stable's Collar, a RA/EX which lets you warp to that regions choco stables. this drops randomly.

as far as i know there is no upgrade to the lotus katana.

Last years event, I went as BST for WS and Charm. Charm to grab the armor fast at range. Widescan to track the armors down.

get yourself some MNKs. 100 fists helps alot, and looks cool with a great katana
some WHMs too.
