Effortless Title Selection and More!

The next version update will introduce a new fortune-telling NPC and changes to the character title selection system! Click here for more details!

Simpler Title Selection and a New NPC Fortuneteller!

The next version update will introduce changes to the character title selection system and reveal a new NPC fortuneteller.

New Character Title Selection System
-Currently, when using the services of an NPC bard to change your title, you must pay gil to receive a list of earned titles that you can select from. However, in the next version update, you may see your list of titles without paying. It will still cost gil to change your title, but the price will be lowered.

-After altering your character's title, the surrounding adventurers will be notified by a /say message announcing the change.

-Players will now have the option to have one of their titles selected randomly for free once each day (Earth time).

New NPC Fortuneteller
-A new NPC will tell the player's fortune regarding character titles and other "elements."

I kinna like this particular update

/likes fluffy stuff sometimes XD

I do random quests all the time, its like second nature, without even thinking about it. Like the passenger quest, like that silly beetle shell quest lol.. whenever I have quest items, I just turn em in... thing is... I loose my cool titles ALL THE TIME. The current title change npc's are great. I know my friends use them, so this update is kinna cool ^^ I'lll use them more often probably if it's ubar cheap now /is cheap with money >.>;;

My friend played a trick on us, it was really funny, well for us anyways ^^. He did a lot of HNMs before, so he had gained a buncha titles. One night he went to camp Nidhogg and took pictures.... now we dont know what his activities there was... but the next day he appears with Nidhogg Slayer... - -;; then proceeded to tell the LS that Nidhogg was at 1% health so he decided to take it and him and another war buddy of ours killed it, hence the title..... and because I'm naive I actually had to ponder upon this for a second... and then realized that yes... this friend WOULD go through the trouble of changing titles, just to play a silly prank on me lol... he still insists that he killed Nidhogg at 1% with one other ls mate - -;; and I naively still stop to ponder for a split second. But it was in good fun and very funny whenever I think about it ^^

I'd definitely activate the daily title change. Sometimes weeks go by without me killing anything that gives a title, do a mission or any quest. So I'm stuck with "Bug Catcher" /wails

As for 'more fluff, wheres the beef'... I think that the revamp on exp system will be a huge update as it is. I think they should concentrate all their 'beef making powers' towards the buddy system, and allow other team members to work on the 'fluff'. I'd rather have one really grryummm piece of steak... then to have many beefy products that arent grrryummmyyyrawrr inducing. Then they need side dishes too!

well, considering all the other stuff they are cramming into this update, i'd say there's alot of beef (it's in the Rice -- for those of you old enough to remember the joke).

i wonder, though, if the Fortune teller is for another event or something...

Ew. There's quite a few titles I'd rather never see myself with again (Beak Bender, Frozen Dead Body, Kisser Maker Upper, to name a few).

Considering the 300++ quests and over 100 missions I've completed, plus a hefty number of HNM, I don't think I'd ever be happy with a random grab bag pick of my potential titles.

I'll happily stick with Dynamis-Xarcarbard Interloper or World Serpent Slayer, thanks all the same.

Hehe the random title thing will seem like a lot of fun and I hope that foture teller is as cool as it sounds... maybe it'll give element cluster like some others do ;o.

While this may not be a big ooh ahh update, and I don't feel it deserves much hype from SE, I think it's a great addition. Better is better and improvements are more than welcome. This fortune telling thing kind of has me curious though...

I like how theres so many obvious problems in the game... But SE is focusing on letting you change your title more efficiently. Something about 80+% of the users couldn't care less about..

"You will still get MPKed or have your mob CFHed... But now you can change your title with ease and at a lower price before you do so! Enjoy!" :D

The current "pair" fortune telling quest is so pointless, it tells you basicially nothing (and I spent a lot of time on it too)... hopefully this new fortune telling thing will be something big!
