I made a thread in the White Mage section of the forums before I posted here, my apologies for not introducing myself first.
My name is Katherine, but most people call me Kate, so that will suffice. I used to play Final Fantasy XI when it was first released, but I was pulled away by friends to play World of Warcraft when that was released. After my experiences there, I found that I missed FFXI and I have decided to return. Joining this community is one of many steps I am taking to prepare myself to start over, since my previous characters have likely been deleted.
I am looking forward to getting to know many of you, and perhaps even making friends along the way.

You may want to post that new player guide, I have not played FFXI in almost three years. Will all of the updates and expansions, I am sure the game has changed quite a bit. You'll want to get Wings of the Goddess and unlock Scholar when you can as it makes a great subjob for White Mage. There are also some teleport spells that take you to various spots in the past as well. A sleep spell, 'Repose', was added to the white magic list as well.

Someone mentioned that the billing cycle starts on the first of every month. If I started playing in the middle of May, does that mean I am only paying for half the month and have to begin paying for another on the first of June?

But does it matter for 15 dollars? You don't have to answer that though.
