I just bought the game today and i'm from the UK (if that helps)

When I tried to register with playonline on the playonline viewer apparently it tells me that the service is currently unavailable due to maintenance, however i've it's been telling me that for almost 10 hours since i first started trying and i've been unable to find someone having the same problem on any other forum.

Could it be something to do with my internet connection/firewall/computer?

Is the playonline registration server actually under maintenance or is it just telling me that and i have a different problem?

One more question; How long does maintenance usually take for playonline?

Please help, i'm going absolutely coocoo trying to figure it out >_<

Registration Server Maintenance takes more than a few hours. Try again tomorrow, it should be fine.

I bought the game just today, too. I hope they can get it up today so I can at least download the billion patches the game probably has...

haha yeah i bought it for the pc and the 360.. duno if its going to be any good for the 360 but im doing it purely for the graphics... my pc sucks its like a shed =/

Yeah sheds suck... But playonline is sucking even more >_<

I bough World of Warcraft last month and i'm testing both games to see which i like best, seeing as i'm a huge FF fan I automatically thougt i prefer this, plus apparently the RP is better on FFXI than WoW but this whole thing's really putting me off the game all together... If ts not up by wednesday i'm gonna have to go back to WoW, they must be losing so many potential customers over this.

It's not like maintenance at all, it's like they're trying to completely remake the whole playonline viewer! GRAAAARRRRGHHFLAGHLEMEH! ('tis my noise of F**KING IRRITATION >_<) The British are renowned for their impatience, hopefully Playonline are taking this into account. Waiting 10 minutes for a late train aggrivates me enough so i bet you can imagine what this is doing to me... FLAAARRRRGH!!! /Playonlinemassacre

I haven't called them, i'm just trying every hour to register and it's still down for maintenance... Angry they have made me. Opening a path to the darkside for me, the anger is! Feel my force lightning, playonline will!

I would recommend calling them then since according to POL, maintenance is over. Since you're actually calling to setup the service and give them money, they may be sorta helpful.

Ah fair enough, where could i get the phone number for support in the UK?

And hopefully guitardy is right. I'm gonna try a few more times every hour when i get home from college.

It better not be another Indian call centre i'll have to stab someone... The first indian i see, which won't be hard seeing as almost every corner shop in England is run by the fuckers ¬_¬
