You can install FFXI on a PS3, but that would be a helluva lot more than even buying a new PC.

Please help me someone! I am getting a 360 soon. Can I hook it up to TV and still play FFXI off the television? What adapter could I use to wirelessly connect my 360 to my broadband DSL internet connection???? AND are the servers ALL connected as one, EVEN if lets say someone has a PS2 and I have a 360, could we play together on the game still???

Wouldn't your xBox360 manual cover all that? (I don't own one, so can't help you there.)

Ah, this one I can guess; I believe xBox360 uses USB connection for peripherals, so you just... plug 'em in. (Best check your manuals to verify, of course.)

Geez. This is a forum, not a chat service, and not IM/text messaging. Collect your thoughts, do a little reading, then you may actually see the answer already given to you.

i.e.

You have to buy the software to create an account.

That means you have to install the software, and create/obtain the ID's from within it ("POL Viewer", I believe).

Well, I play FFXI on my PC and Ps2. I have only 1 account but if the TV is free I will play on ps2 because the ps2 version comes in a lot more clear if you have a great TV. (Doesn't matter how good a computer you have because a TV will always look better then a computer screen xD)

Guren, I don't mean to bash you (and I've been away for about 3 weeks), but how is a tv alot more clear then a computer monitor? Monitors have a higher resolution, then a TV will be able to handle (Monitors were doing "1080p" long before TV's were).

I think the PS2 version is horrible, the UI is too big, IMO.

The game looks better on PC. As InuTrunks said, PC screens can be higher resolution than even the most expensive HDTVs, and have been for quite some time now.

Ok, i've found out from a RL friend how to connect xbox live. Now in FFXI is there any major lvl dungeons like instances to defeat that drop epic stuff like armor and weapons?

I own a HDTV myself. And my computer is custimized to maximum gaming performance. The TV version looks better.

But, your HDTV surely has a larger screen than your computer monitor. If you have the same size screens, side by side, then the PC version should look better due to being higher resolution.
