Newbie looking for friends

Hey, I'm new to this site and to the game. I'm on the Alexander server and looking for a friendly linkshell that wouldn't mind having me and a friend. I also have a question. The Magicked Skull is the last item I need for the support job quest, in which area do I want to fight ghouls? Thanks!

Can't help you on the linkshell front, but for ghouls you can either comb the dunes meticulously at night or you can head to the Gusgen mines(preferably with some folks who can fight their way through and keep you alive). Honestly though, the subjob quest mobs from the Mhuara version are easier to find, but this early you'd still need a team to take some of them down.

Re: Newbie looking for friends

You can have a high level kill large amounts of ghouls in Gusgen Mines for the skull, but this could take upwards of an hour depending on your luck. It doesn't happen too often, but I've seen it happen. For other locations, see here: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Ghoul

You need high level help for either one, but the Mhaura quest is easier, since Bogies drop their item like 1/3 of the time. Try Gusgen, though, it probably won't take you more than 20 minutes.

This can actually vary. I've helped multiple people with this while farming bonechips for Alchemy. Ive gone almost 2 hours before getting a single skull.

As for the linkshell, you can contact me. Send a /tell to Mitratis or Takelli. My linkshell is really friendly and is helpful. We have been going for about 1 1/2 years now. We've helped a few people get on their feet and get started in the game. Just send me a tell and I'll help you out. I am on most of the time so you have a very good chance of contacting me. Or just post your character name in a message and I'll search you up in the game.
