Emote Help Please

I seen some one do a dance the other day and it was just the /dance4 but the wording that displayed was different... can some one tell me how to change the words in the emotes

any help would be nice i know this is not a big issue lol

Posted back in March of 2008:

"Square Enix has revealed some more details about the upcoming version update of their PC/PS2/Xbox360 MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. The exact date of the update is still unknown but it will happen sometime this month.

Due to popular demand, the following new emote commands will be added. Now you can dance just like a real dancer, regardless of job, location, or situation!"

He asked how to change the words in the emotes.

I don't really remember, but I think you have to macro it.

And you posted this in the FFXIV discussion

macro it

line one: /dance4 motion <--- so you only do the motion and it doesn't say anything
line two: /em __________ <----- fill the blank with whatever you want it to say. Also remember your name will start this line so make sure it will read right.
Ex: /em points at a large bird in the sky.
You would see this: Ynot points at a large bird in the sky.

I have one of these set up to feed my Wyvern a treat.

Not sure what it has to do with FFXIV though.

Please, don't dance and cast in the same macro. They kill you for that in Rabao.

oh wow sry i didnt see that it was ff14 and not ff11
but thank you for answering i will test it out tonight
i know how to do emotes i just didnt want to to say dose a jig or whatever i wanted to put my oun saying in
i will try what you said Pix thank you

I have a lsmate who has /dance4 (I think it's 4) motion as part of her Raise macro... and she makes sure she is standing on your body while casting if she can.

It's not as cute as it was the first time, but still occasionally gets a smile.

Well for spells like Raise that only get cast occasionally, I really don't mind. But people that do it for Ballad, Cure's, Refresh, etc..........just die.......die a motherbeepin painful death!
