Soloing Area to 20

Hey guys, I am playing a 17 elvaan war and want to know if there are any good spots that I can solo to get to about 20. I am really tired of groups in the dunes which have been failing as of late. So I am just going to nip it in the bud and get some exp on my own, so I ask do you guys know of any good areas where a 17 war with decent gear can grind to get to around 20?

Konschtat, La Theine, Tahrongi, Dangruf Wadi, Palborough, Giddeus, Ghelsba... Uh... Valkurm, Buburimu...

Go to Vana'diel Bestiary and put in your level and minimum XP/kill and it'll give you a list of places you can find it. Just a matter of whether you want to plow through Easy Prey or take on a few DC-EM then rest.

If you don't mind the actual location the dunes are a decent place to solo at that level. Do the lower FoV pages for some extra exp and earn some tabs for buffing yourself including reraise.

Re: Soloing Area to 20

North Gustaberg (S)

Start with Tunnel Worms [Mob level 10-12] around level 10, bridge to River Crabs & Vultures [Mob level 15-18] around 16/17 and then go to Stone Eaters [Mob Level 18-22] when suitable for your job and level probably around 19/20.

Worms are my favorite soloing mob since you can always run away. They also have low HP, and are weak to most forms of magic. After you finish here, you can continue soloing on Qufim Land Worms [Mob Level 25-27].

The River Crab/Vulture bridge can be of a stretch, but I don't like to piss with the Saplings since they have annoying abilities. Basically, you still kill the tunnel worms, but you pick and choose the weaker Crabs and Vultures and put them in the mix as well. As you go up, you'll end up doing more Crabs and Vultures until you can move to Stone Eaters (which hang out on the road from the cliff to the tower where you teleport when warping from the Campaign Arbiter.

The best part about using Shadowreign zones is that you get the Regen/Refresh/Food buff which makes soloing much easier when healing from sub.

I used this camp to level WAR, SAM, and SCH. Combined with worms in present South Gustaberg (Stone Eaters then Fumaroles) to 10th, it makes for a very fast transition from Noob to Qufim, and if you continue soloing Land Worms and Crabs in Qufim, you can go from Noob to Kazham.

There are also Rock Eaters in North Gustaberg [s] level 32-34, but the 20-30 mobs in North Gustaberg [s] are not fun (Sheep & Lizards).

Re: Soloing Area to 20

The zones past the newbie zones.

Konschtat Highlands
La Theine Plateau
Tahrongi Canyon

You might also be able to use areas were you leveled at 10 in the Dunes (the Konschat zone), the Konschat zone in Pashhow Marshlands, the La Theine Plateau zone in Jugner Forest or the Tahrongi zone of Meriphataud Mountains, but they might be a little more dangerous.

Re: Soloing Area to 20

Go for EP mobs, DCs don't reward enough EXP for the increased difficulty in killing them, Ts are out of the question and finding enough EMs for an EXP chain is nothing but a pipe dream.

Re: Soloing Area to 20

When the invites dry find a duo partner and see if you can do the leeches in Pashow near the NW corner... the place is a goldmine if you do FoV and have /thf. Might be better at a lil over 20 but OMG... made so much off Beastman blood and Crawler drops + very decent xp. There's sometimes people camping the H2o elems so you can cast safely too.

This is true for some jobs, but OP should also learn that other jobs can easily fight multiple DC mobs in succession making them worthwhile.

But WAR17/? isn't one of those jobs.
