Trial to real account

So I'm trying out the trial. And I think i'm going to like it. So if I buy a copy of the PC version with the 1 month free. How can I apply that to my trial account. And also, how would I be able to change my trial to a real play online account where I have to pay monthly? Also, is there a thing like for WoW, if you do a 3 month payment, you get a discount? Is that the same for ffxi?

Once the trial is over, whenever you try to login onto POL, a message will show up asking you to either change your trail account to a paid one or log out.

If you choose to change your account to a paid one, eventually it will ask you for the key code that comes along when you buy the game. Input it and that should do it. You don't have to wait for the trial to be over but thats what I did, more free days I guess.

As for the 3 months deal, I've never heard of anything like that with FFXI but I'm not sure about it.

Hachibi, did buy the full version of the game? (Vanadiel Collection 2008) Did you get the 30 day free trial after using your 14 day free trial?

I've been told conflicting stories on this. Most people have told me that you can NOT use the 30 day free trial on the same account after the 14 day free trial over. They needed to make a brand new account (start over) in order to use the 30 day free trial. Then some have said that they got the 30 free days using the same account as they used on the 14 day free trial.

As for a 3 month "deal", no there is no such thing with FFXI. The monthly fee is taken at the 1st of every month via a Visa or Mastercard credit card/gift card.

Unless you delete your account yourself, more often than not, people's accounts are left intact for months to years. The whole "3 months of inactivity" seems more like a tall-tale nowadays.

Well the 90 days is an absolute guarantee that your account will be there. After that, it can be deleted at any time so there is no guarantee it will be there. More often than not, it is still there years later but you can't get mad if its not since there is no guarantee. But as we so well know, people will still whine, piss, and moan when its gone. LOL

If you do NOT use the 14 day free trial account, you can start a new account and use the 30 free days. If you want to use the 14 day free trial account, then you will NOT get the 30 day free trial since it is not a new account. It's quite simple.

TGM is right about this. The 14 day free trial and the 30 days free for buying the game are not available together. This means that, if you want 30 days for free (You have to subscribe in order to get the 30 days anyways), you will have to start a new account.

If you already used your 14 day free trial and choose to use that same account, and you buy the full version of the game, they will not allow you to use the 30 days free.

And then the person I addressed the question to, answered it in a different thread and said that you can NOT use the 30 day free trial with the 14 day free trial account. I suspected that was true but not everyone knows so they guess or they don't tell you the truth.

So this is what whappened to me:

I created an account using the 14 day trial. Once the trial was over I bought the Vanadiel Collection 2008. I installed the expansions and registered them. I continued to use the same account.
For me, it did add up to 44 free days. Even now, since those 30 days are about to end, whenever I log in I get a message alerting me to that.

As for the other thread, he was a returning player so I dont think any of this applies.
