eve online has a decent trial, but that game is very complicated to get started.

another free trial is for Lotr online. that is a very decent game esp if you are into lotr and the lore. i fell in love playing the trial, but didnt feel like starting a new mmo at the time lol

God I hate those type of games. I guess you have to have a certain personality in order for them to appeal to you. If I had to pay to access mainstream story quests in FFXI, I definately wouldn't be playing it. (Previous sentence is is in comparison to games previously mentioned in the quote.
