I am an avid FFXI player (6 jobs @75) and recently moved away from home. I do not have my FFXI discs with me, and don't want to buy new ones just yet. My concern is this computer does not have high enough specs to run the game. But I recently learned about 3d-Analyze, so that should cover the graphics card issue. I found out I can download FFXI from the POL website if someone would give me a "Buddy Code".

But I want to know, will this work? Will I still be able to play after 30 days is up? I will be using my old account info, so I am under the impression it will.. but I don't want to waste my time if there's something that stops it from working after 30 days.

Any information on the POL FFXI download and it's limitations would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has a Buddy Code to give me, I would be so very thankful >.<;!

When FFXI first came out I bought the game, and had a lot of fun with it for a while, but had to stop because it got it the way of school and work. Lately I've been thinking about coming back to the game, but I want to test it out first. There were a lot of problems with the game, and I wanna see if they've been fixed before I got out and spend $50 on a new copy. Can anyone send me a buddy pass so I can see if it's worth getting back into again?

ok. this is really selfish and im so sorry but can some one hook it up with a buddy pass. i have my account but my cd's got messed up. and now SE sends me an email saying i owe them money. plus im interested in the game again. i really just need to download the stupid pol viewer so i can pay this bill. ill find a way to get my bought expansions back. you can email me at lovestobebitten@hotmail.com

Might anyone have a buddy could I could use? I am completely enamored with everything final fantasy and recently I have been on an MMO craze, so obviously this seems like the natural choice, and after reading up on it sounds like the game for me, however I would hate to spend money on a game that I might not even like. So if anyone would be kind enough to lend me a buddy code I would greatly appreciate it.

yea i accidentally made a thread about this and was directed here.

I quite playing the game a few years back and decided i wanted to give it another go. however, i don't have any of my old information so i cant use my old account. i was wondering if someone had a set of trial keys i could use so i can make a decision, so i don't go out and buy the game again and decide i don't like it.

I've been wanting to play FFXI for years now, but I've only recently gotten my own personal machine. No more bumming 5-minute play sessions from my friend once a month...at least, I hope.

Alrite so I have to say I'm really glad that ffxionline has a thread specifically to give out their buddy passes since the all the other places that I've been too don't seem to do this kind of thing. Only mmosite has something similar going on, but they are doing it in a contest fashion :/ Anyways I'll modify my msg if I get one before you guys get to me if ever lol

adding to that, yeah my friend had an extra buddy pass laying around, so I won't be needing one anymore. Also, I've referred some people to this forum since they were looking for buddy passes, i hope you guys will be able to help them

Hey, I don't know if it's too late to request a buddy pass, but I'll give it a shot. My friend (Allusion on Lakshmi sever) was telling me about the game, and I wanted to give it a try. I really don't wanna spend the money on the whole collection before knowing if I like it or not. If someone could give me a key, so I could do the trial, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
