For those of you who have done this before, I had a quick question:

Do you need to be further than CoP 8-1 in order to access the basement on the west side of the palace where you pop this thing? I wanted to clear up some confusion before I scheduled a run for my ls.

In a word, yes. Beating the three fights in Al'Taieu (the triple Aern NM ones at the Rubious Crystals) outside the palace will complete Mission 8-1 and give you access to the Palace itself. You'll have to do some of the escort parts of Mission 8-2 in order to get down to the basement area near the NM's pop locations.

BTW Calli, talk to Zoey about doing this fight. She's a bit more experienced with it than I am.

What ever u do dont do IX Drk my ls other night had a 3hr 30min drk which i kited nin/drk for like 3hrs for it other 30min was killing the thing reraised 25times just for a damn deed ; ;

Yeah he's a real pain in the rear.. and he brings two friends to the fight also, so it makes it tough for a small group to manage. I did this fight once with a group of 8 - took us about 2 hours, almost wiped once from his pals and the added Aerns along the way, and he reraised just once thankfully. It didn't help at all that he kept using Blood Weapon every five minutes either.

And OF COURSE we got a deed, no vice drop.

Yea our LS has 2whms sac pull the Friends so we dont even ever touch them then we pull him to the Zone and every1 zones hate and we go from there and its like a kirin just kite him around the poles till he cheats since he can run through the poles.....
