I soloed it as 75 whm, and had no trouble. Only part that almost got me was repops of gobs in the area linking, I ended up with the NM and 3 gobs on me, but they hit rather weak on a 70+ player.

So I would just claim it, and move off to a corner so that you don't have to deal with links. They only thing that went through my stoneskin was a Burst, shadows had just went down, and was recasting. But after stoneskin I think it did like 13 damage so over all fairly weak NM.

If you can solo maat without a sub you should have no troubles

Solo'd Mystic as a 62 Rdm/Blm

Cleared links in the room, so when he popped most of the mobs were despawned. Bio II Poiosin II etc, Melee'd for abit, with a Vit build he was hitting for 40ish-50 a pop.

Everytime he started going for a big nuke I would either use the appropiate bar-spell or just run out of range.

Mobs started to respwan as it was a long fight so I had to kite em to the zone line and finish him there.

Very easilly. 67+ nothing in the area aggros. If your evasion and what not are up to par you could probably also just ignore the two links you'll get but keeping them slept is easy.

I was ~68 or so RDM/BLM soloing him.

Bah, missed 2 claims

Turned up, and there was 9 people there all from same linkshell, and me. Hmm.

Popped, neddless to say I was easily out-claimed (in fact I was down the wrong end) and so I disappeared for a few to finish some bits.

Came back, and there was noyl a drk farming cockatrice. pop due in 30 mins and 2 others turn up.... and the drk offers to help me out. Great guy. Unfortunateky the pop was directly in front of one of the others and was stun claimed.

I've heard of people losing claim on him by doing this, so be careful if other people are around. But really, as long as you keep stoneskin + shadows + the right bar-spell you should be fine. Just don't convert right when he starts a -ga spell xD

I think your biggest challenge will be getting claim

Both times I saw him spawn, he did so in the middle of the room by come columns.

Does he always pop where he last died??

Every time I've seen him he popped almost in the same place. There is a rock 'pillar' coming up from the ground. He spawned around the one nearest that cave opening.
