I've lost track of just how many times I've camped this NM, but it has to be around 15 times across both characters. Each time I camped it for someone else, damn earring dropped. But all the times I camped it for myself or had help, its either stun-claimed by a rival or no drop when we/I get claim.

I camp Eastern Shadow, only four hours at that, two campings total and get Vali's Bow first drop.

Camp Sagittarius X-XIII three times, Loxley Bow drops third time (he was actually harder than ES).

I think I'm just cursed with this particular NM

I just hate that this is the one NM everyone seems to bring a small army to claim when its easily soloable by any level 75 job. Which they'd just move this one to a BCNM.

Don't feel so bad. I was 0/12 on him before he finally dropped. Just be glad you don't have gilsellers camping it.

So 7-8 times on each character, and you're complaining? 8 times before a drop is not that much.

0/15? 0/12? Consider yourself lucky... My friend went like 0/100-ish. He was just so unlucky with that bastage.

He was ticked when I got mine 1/1. I did go 1/24 on Monster Signa, though.

Well, considering my high luck with other NMs and BCNMs, this one is particularly frustrating. E/V-Bow is a chance drop and that NM is lotto pop after 16 hours and might not show until 11 hours after. I've been on a big NM streak of late, so Mystic is becoming an annoying little bastard.

Mystic pops, I claim, no drop. Log out and watch Superman Returns.
Lex Luthor takes Lois prisoner on his boat. I stop.
Log back in 5 minutes before first window, Mystic pops about 30 mins later.
Mystic spawns claimed.
Log out, finish watching Superman.
Log back in before first window, 20 mins later, Mystic spawns claimed.

Too tired to keep camping, I go to bed. I wake up this morning and make an educated guess on his next appearance. I log in and, minutes later, he spawns claimed.

Poor Mystic didn't even get a chance to -aga or AM me. Barrage, Sidewinder, Eagle Shot and he was done.

Anybody who got their Moldy Earring before their 10th claim should rot in hell. 1/17 for me, another mage in my LS was 1/15. I camped this bastard for basically 2 months straight. I had to have this earring for my Maat fight, so I lived in the Lab.

Then again 1/17 seems to be my unlucky number. Took my 17th time to get my O. Kotes from Deggi, and then the update was a week later and the price dropped from 1.6M to 800k. Good to know somebody still hates me.

A friend of mine plays monk as his main. One day he was in LoO and ran past mysticmaker. He saw an NM gob and claimed him and got the drop. He had no idea what it was either. A few of our ls mages kinda freaked out on him for a while.

I've helped others camp this a few times on my THF... I think I might have seen the earring once or twice. But most of the time, it either didn't drop or we didn't get claim. Recently I tried camping it to get the earring for myself, but it seems there's very little chance of me claiming it solo. Every time I go, I'm alone for almost 2 hours, then about 5-10 minutes before he pops, a whole PT of people will log in or run in and get claim.
