and I show that he is 26 lvl. do you think he is soloable with a 30 mnk/thf?

The drop rate afaik is pretty good. I would be careful at such a low level. One or more links could get you killed since you can neither sleep nor heal yourself well and you don't have shadows to mitigate damage.

MNK/THF is not the best soloist (in fact it's not particularly good at all). Pet jobs, Red and Blue Mages, Ninjas and Paladins are effective soloists. Most other jobs can not effectively solo monsters close to their level. Red Mages can have significant trouble with higher-powered mobs and certain classes of mobs depending on subjob. Of the melee jobs, I think MNK with it's high HP is a fair soloist, but you have to pick on things weaker than you and resting/chakra for HP is kind of crappy. MNK is advised to take /NIN, /BRD, or /WHM for soloing.
