Ranged Attack with Monk?

I started some more farming last night and was MNK/RNG (i know, odd combination) and was just attacking mobs with no kind of ranged attack or anything. My question is, can I equip anything for ranged attack with a monk, or what can I use to get a faster claim on a mob besides chasing?

You'd be better off with a chi blast. You want to stick with /WAR. /RNG does absolutely nothing for monk.

The only thing /RNG is good for is widescan, when it comes to farming. If you want widescan though, I'd go with /BST so you can claim faster with charm.

There's always the voke pull too if you're not in a situation where enmity matters.

Once you hit 70 and have SP rank in assault, you can use one of the three ~bane items you can get from trading IS points.

They let you use a thf sub and still pull fairly quickly. I use one to farm as MNK/THF all the time and you could also pull if you like. I've done it before. It's a great little item for only 4K points.

I used voke when I was MNK/WAR.

My RNG is only @ lvl 1...using it only for widescan atm
