Oh one more question. Does Guard kick in against Ranged Attacks?

i know this is an old thread but i just found it. yes guard kicks in against ranged attacks, and weapon skills


also if you have pup lvled and can sub it, there is a lvl 60 earring that will give you +5 guard when pup is subbed.

you might be able to heal with your automaton too which would help.

Alright, so I've picked this up again and I'm taking on Mouchies in the tree.

Currently they hit me for 0-11. I'm wondering is it possible to cut down on this dmg any further? i'm using defense food (tacos), protect IV, and have Phalanx 2.

Head: Arhat's Jinpachi -1
Neck: nothing (trying to get Guard skill)
Ear1: Guard Earring
Ear2: Merman's Ring (to get -evasion)
Body: Arhat's Gi -1
Hands: Ochimusha (to get -evasion)
Ring1: Jelly Ring
Ring2: Rajas (idk . . . . .lol)
Back: Boxer's
Waist: Black Belt
Legs: MNK Af
Feet: MNK relic
