{Monk} {Burn} {Yes, please.}!!!

This weekend I got invited to my first MNK burn!! Omfg it was so much fun XD I get the tell, I was already in Sandy, near KRT and so I wait for them to catch up with me and we go down in there and start fighting...it was just so awesome, lol. We had 3x MNK/WAR, 1x BRD/WHM, 1x RDM/BLM, and 1x WHM/RDM...all 3 of us MNK's get to go all out, Focus, Berserk, Dodge, Counterstance, whatever we wanted to do :D It was super exp, I got a helluva lot of buffer, and was able to get a merit and a half(we stopped for a bit cause two people had to go). But seriously, when you're a 75 MNK, go down to KRT, take this same or a similar set-up and just destroy everything down there...we ramaged through there, getting easy chain 20+'s as we went...that was really the most fun party I've ever had, and I'd suggest it to any MNK that wants a good time with great exp. Just still happy about it and wanted to share my happiness with my fellow MNKS :D

KRT parties are good. You normally want the "long path" rather than the short path, since its very easy for monks to clear out the short path before mobs respawn. However, if Vrtra is up, the long path might not have enough either ; ;

Err yea, we were taking the long path I believe, and Vrtra wasn't up that we know of at least...but now I'm gonna try and put one of these parties together myself maybe tonight or tomorrow, let's see if I'm able too

In manaburn, you're burning through mana/MP.
In ammoburn/arrowburn (when they existed), you're burning through ammo/arrows.
In TP burn, you're burning through TP.
In "MNK burn" would be burning through MNKs? Burning them alive?
In fist burn, I guess you're burning through thrown punches.

I don't care either way, personally. I'm partial to "MNK PT".

KRT Monk parties are a lot of fun, but they're pretty stressful if you're not a monk. BRD's job is relatively easy since you don't actually have to do too much pulling, but WHM's position is unusually busy in those parties since you need to Banish III the ghosts (96MP), which makes MP conservation very important - hard to do when you have little to no time to rest since the party is constantly moving.

It's possible to get over Chain #100 at KRT if you do things right, but you need a few lucky breaks and really good players.

Actually just Banish II works fine for the ghosts, not sure on MP cost, but I'm sure that'd help a little bit...and actually we hard BRD's pulling. @_@ Because we tended to pull stuff with blood aggro, while fighting our BRDs would go out and grab more, but we were able to get good chaining
