So I just hit 40
So there I was I just hit 40 and being a player who seems to let gil drip through his galkan fingers I was wondering how I would get the gil together to get my equipment up to pt standard. Then a LS member (jeditaru) said that Wong (an ex player) had given him all his old equipment and would I like to borrow it. YAY said I so I became the proud and humble inheritor of a Jujitsu gi and Satabaki, the kote things and the fuma Kayan.
My quandry is this I have 2 of the +3 strength rings and a snipers ring and a woodsmans ring. What is the best combo of these rings to use in a pt? They allseem so great.

Thanks to Wong for help from beyond the grave and many thanks to Jeditaru for his generosity it is one of the reasons I love this game so much everyone is so helpful.

So what is your opinion on the rings? I throw the question out there

Sniper's + Woodsman in XP. Accuracy +10 will help your DoT so much more than STR +6, especially at a stage when you have more access to STR/Attack gear than Accuracy gear, and especially when you're coming up on Raging Fists, the resulting damage of which is influenced a TON more by Accuracy than by other stats.

Being that i just turned 40mnk, i'm in the same boat.

I use /Equip Macros.
One macro strictly ACC, running PCharm and Snipers. The other is STR with Spike Necklace and the STR3 Puissance Rings.

ACC for TP Build, STR for WS usually.

Now, at 40 you have Backhand Blow as your DD ws pretty much. Single hit, you can stack on the STR/Atk macro for that one. But once you hit 41(i've got merit in h2h so i'm using Raging Fists at 40) Raging Fists is a multihit WS. It will rely on your ACC to make sure all hits land. So i toy around with it and judge my ACC by the TP Return. I've found leaving a sniper ring on keeps me at about 13-17TP most of the time. 12TP should be considered less than good, and you should include a lil more acc, whether it be by food or keeping a sniper in place of your Puissance.

That extra ACC will help you much more than 3str most of the time, on these multihit WS's.

Still 40 today, so i have a lil more playing around to do.

Re: So I just hit 40
As far as Raging Fists accuracy goes, I generally check my accuracy in my parser to see how I'm doing. Granted, it parses all hits and counts Raging Fists as one hit. But even so, getting my accuracy from 2500 attacks I feel is more accurate than just checking my TP and adjusting my equipment. If I'm parsing 60% and get a few lucky Raging Fists in, I don't want to be dropping Acc gear.

With 90% parsed Accuracy, I can expect to average 4-5 hits on Raging Fists.
With 80% parsed Accuracy, I can expect to average 4 hits on Raging Fists.
With 70% parsed Accuracy, I can expect to average 3-4 hits on Raging Fists.
With 60% parsed Accuracy, I can expect to average 3 hits on Raging Fists.
With 50% parsed Accuracy, I quit and go pound on Too Weaks for a while to make myself feel better.

If you want to parse 70% Accuracy and wear STR/ATK gear fulltime, that's your choice. However, at the very least swap some Acc gear in for Raging Fists to at least push those numbers higher.
