Re: MNK expensive item question

JAs are not affected by Haste at all. Haste lowers weapon delay and magic recast only. Even when Haste does affect timers, it actually lowers the time they tick down from, rather than making them tick faster.

Utsusemi recast can be lowered by Haste gear/spell (not Ninjutsu skill) because it is a ninjutsu spell.

Re: MNK expensive item question

Agreed with the above. Ichi and the like are spells timers.

As rdm/nin, my ichi recast without haste is 38 seconds (just my innate ability and my pimp hat) - casting haste can drop it to 32 seconds. If I went for haste equipment it can drop further. This is why you haste your tanks...

Re: MNK expensive item question

My advice for haste items is:
Don't attempt to max them unless you have Black Belt. Black Belt above all else is the god item and actually makes a good argument for massing the rest of the haste set.

Weapon slot: Pretty much your choice. I had really good results with Shiva's Claws, but Feral Fangs do more damage. Destroyers should be your end game goal though.

Body Slot: Always keep your AF handy to swap in for Chakra. A SH is a fine and dandy armor to use.

Waist: Judging by the rest of your gear and the addition of sushi, don't even bother with Life Belt. The +STR from Brown belt as well as the haste+% is well worth the trade off.

Foot slot: Already stated my stance on haste%+ things. Dune Boots are incredibly powerful and well worth the camp. I find I don't really use them much anymore though as I'm always pulling hate and almost always have Counterstance up with Melee Gaiters on. Dune Boots are indeed worth it though.

IxX3xil3d0n3XxI, just so you know the turban you are talking about is lvl 75. So you will have better gear at that time I am sure.

qft

Fuma Kyahan may not even be considered a viable option at 75 depending on whom you ask, given the alternatives.

Re: MNK expensive item question

From my understanding it isnt worth anything to a 75 MNK, but a 75 NIN can use it all he wants to a great more advantage too.

It isn't worth much to a 75 MNK or NIN since Fuma Sune-ate has the same Haste +3%, plus another 14 DEF, HP +12, and AGI +3.

Re: MNK expensive item question

Well excuse me Mr. Know-it-all. Some people don't have the money to spend on that kinda gear though.

Re: MNK expensive item question

Fuma Kyahan: 1700k
Fuma Sune-Ate: 1100k

It would be cheaper to get the "expensive" gear while selling the lower level one. If you're going to try to bash him, you might want to get things straight first.

Source:
http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=13054&sid=29&stack=0 and http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=15327&sid=29&stack=0

I personally wouldn't take +3% haste on feet for MNK unless I couldn't get dune boots and I was level 75. I'm 73 and have dune boots...so yeah... My MNK's never worn fumas.

Although it would have marginal use for MNK's subbing NIN and tanking something hard. The slightly lower utsusemi recasts in addition to very slight increased speed would be pretty helpful then. NIN would use it for the same reasons, I'd imagine. Plus swinging faster means more hate and more TP to keep hate with.

Edit: Completely off-topic, but hey post 1000 and "Brain of Knowledge" title.
