I am currently a Lv.53 MNK, I'm using Cross-Counters, and I was wondering, what's better to use, some of my MNK friends say T.M. Hooks +2 are better, their cheaper, and have higher DoT. Here's the stats:

TM Hooks +2 - DMG:16 Delay:71 Attack+10 DEF-10
In Areas outside own nation's control:
CHR+4

Cross-Counters - DMG:19 Delay:96 Acc +3 Evasion-10 "Counter" +5

Please give me your 2 cents

Cross Counters. I'm a 53MNK with TMH+2 and I'm calling in all sorts of favors to get my hands on Cross Counters to ride out until Waghs.

At level 53 you have a cap of 168 Hand-to-Hand, giving you a base attack of somewhere around (guessing) 200-220 after STR and gear bonuses.

Cross Counters are effectively worth +3 STR compared to the TM Hooks +2, are slightly (very slightly) slower, and are more accurate.

If you have a huge amount of +STR gear to hit the STR cap (i.e. your STR + H2H DMG > Monster VIT + 13, keeping in mind that the monsters are usually 4-8 levels above you) then the TM+2s might do more damage*. If not (which is very likely since I don't remember there being all that much STR gear available at 53), the Cross Counters ought to outperform.

EDIT: * That's damage per hit, though - bear in mind that ACC+3 bonus on Cross Counters is going to impact your overall damage, too, especially on multi-hit WS like Raging Fists.

basically what icemage said..... look at your own stats. if you need the acc, use TM+2. if you need the str, use cc

I'm not sure you understand. Icemage is saying that if you're at or near the STR cap, then the Attack +10 from TMH+2 will be more beneficial. TMH+2 actually have no Accuracy boost. If you are loaded to the gills with Attack gear and are in dire need of Accuracy, I think the Cross Counters would be far more beneficial for you than TMH+2.
