Soloing subjob quest

Since I can only play on weekends and I live in Europe, finding a party isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world.

I was wondering if it's possible to solo the subjob quests and if I can do it at my current level (lvl 18 MNK).

Re: Soloing subjob quest

I'm affraid not. The mobs is only a few lvls under what you would exp on in that lvl.

Best luck is to shout after people who also need the quest items and get a party going.
Another very used option is to ask high lvls in Dunes for help

Re: Soloing subjob quest

I think it's possible but not plausible. The hardest of the three mobs for the Selbina quest is the ghoul. Way back when, I managed to solo two of these (nowhere near at the same time) as a subless MNK18, but only by using Hundred Fists on each. Having some Selbina Milk on hand probably would have helped.

So if you've got really good gear (Republic Knuckles, Purple Belt, etc.) you'd have a shot at the skull once every two hours, max. I'd suggest, if you can't just find high-level help in-game, ask on the Ifrit boards here if someone can take you to Gusgen Mines this weekend.

Double Post Edited:
Well, take you to Gusgen Mines and get the other two items if you don't have them, or take you to Buburimu for the Mhaura subjob quest, whichever works best.

Get some outside help and save yourself the frustration. You can theoretically solo a Ghoul for a Magicked Skull with Hundred Fists, but the drop rate is so low that your chances of doing so with your 2 hour are very slim. Ditto for Damselflies.

Re: Soloing subjob quest

Monsters are too high level for you heres the details....

Ghoul - Gusgen mines item Magiked skull - Lvl of mob 20-24 these are agresive and link and normally hangout with a few chums so you have no chance solo.

Snipper - Dunes - item Crab apron - Lvl 18-20 if you find an even match (lvl 18) you may be lucky, but watch out for gob agros etc as you'll be screwed.

Ghoul Dunes - magiked skull - lvl of mob 18-22 though these have a low drop rate and I always found them to have Blaze spikes active which unless your a ranged or magic caster you have no chance.

damesel fly - damselfly worm - lvl of mob 20-23 two points regiuster to you as IT and has too abd attacks cursed sphere and poison/venon sphere (can't remember exact term)

In theory you should get a party o/s Selbina to fight. if you were on my server I'd help as I'm on GMT timezone.

Hope the info helps.

Actually undead don't link. However, they will aggro the fudge out of you. If you really can't find anyone to help you, get to 20, it'll probably be easier then.
