Last I checked as a monk doing more damage is better than doing less damage. But hey that's just my personal preference

accuracy was never a problem for me while i leveled, all i ever really used was either life belt or spectacles....never have problems hitting and i usually gain tp faster than who ever i renkei with.

a mnk that thinks acc+ is more important than attack+ or str+ is a shitty mnk in my mind.

only time i ever use all my acc+ equips is when i'm skilling up or fighting high evasion HNM..

While I would agree that having accuracy is important I think people focus on accuracy a little too much and thus aren't able to push the limits of their monk and be the best they can be. When you see people using +dex rings(which suck by the way) because they have to have accuracy that's a problem.

Having a bard and not fighting monsters too early doesn't hurt either.

Its nice that MNK don't have to whore out the +ACC gear, but you do need some.

I find that for a MNK, having between +15 ACC and +20 ACC is the "sweet spot" if you will.

Life Belt is already +10, and AF Body is +5, so with that setup you could use a high damage H2H and STR rings.

Or, use Brown Belt, a Snipers Ring, and Shiva Claws, etc...there are plenty of ways to have your equipment fall into the 15-20 range.

In the 60-70 range you may want a bit more +ACC than normal (enemies just seemed to have higher evasion than the usual in this range). Coeurls, Processionaires, Flies, and even some of the Crabs all seemed to be quite proficient at evading attacks. Once you hit 70, you are on Bones and Weapons, neither of which gave me much trouble in hitting them.

have you done any experimenting with DEX items?

everyone says they suck, but i seriously doubt anyone has tried them.

just by looking at attack and strength, i would think one Deft ring (Lv.36 DEX+3) and one Sniper's ring (accuracy+5) would be better than 2 Sniper's rings, but i have no idea really... i guess i'll just experiment when i get my craft high enough to get money

DEX has been heavily used and experimented with. STR far outweighs the benefits you get from DEX as a MNK.

In fact, it has been pretty much proven that unless you are a THF, going DEX isn't really going to help you a lot.

DEX can serve you ok for the early game if you prefer, but in the endgame its all about the STR.

I had pallas bracelets and didn't like them at all. Seemed to almost have a penalty to acc + the -5dex and agi. Because with tank equip on I have 0 dex and with those and reg dps equip I still have + dex but miss alot. Dunno, didn't like em sold em. 2.0 it's only ok to be a smart ass if you know you're right, not think you're right.

Funny that you don't mention anything about doing less damage instead of more damage but hey if you didn't like em you didn't like em. We'll just agree to disagree I guess.
