Yeah, I prefer to be able to take part in the fight, rather than being the mascot. We'll probably put it off a bit until we have a few more levels (coupla weeks) and can actually DO the fight - I can take up to a mid level Gigas in Qufim solo pretty easily (dont even get into red) but they are the weakest of the Gigas, and the ones in Delkfutts get tougher the higher you go.

Maybe I'll lvl SMN first....

Honestly, even a 75 is overkill. Though it does make for a fast fight. I know the first time I did it, I just sneak/invised myself to the top and asked a 50 DRG who was there to kill it for me. He was probably RMT, but whatever.

Just remember that Porphyrion is indeed a Ranger, and that means he does have Eagle Eye Shot available to him. While that won't faze someone at level 75 since it will quite likely miss, and only do a couple hundred points of damage even if it lands on them, it's a very different story for anyone in his level range (40 or lower).

I had a fairly high level friend, Kalmiera, demand that I let her help me through the mission to get me an airship pass. Keep in mind that my highest job was maybe lvl 28 Rdm at this time. I finally let her take me on the mission after she threatened to tie me up and leave me alone with her moogle.<br />

The end result, I got my airship pass, and a nice story to tell about how I got Tractored through about half of Castle Oztroja!

Our alliance's BLM once tractored a dead party member through half of Promy-Holla purely for the fun of it. then be started randomly tractoring dead party members after wipes to the BCNM. It's worth wiping to Wreacker (not a hard thing to do either >.<) just to see a half of an alliance get tractor'd around the Spire of Holla by a BLM.

I have some funny stories about Oztroja including me setting off the trapdoor every time I got anywhere near the first Brass Door and my high level help thinking I was doing the Yagudo Crest quest and took me to the very top. We both died about 5 times in the process before he realised that I was after the magicite. I did get my WHM AF2 and the BLM testimony that dropped in the process though and he got a few garrision items and i got to see Fenrir beat take a huge chunk out of the Yagudo High Priest's health so it was all good in the end.
