San D'oria mission 3-1 "Infiltrate Davoi"

Ok, I finished this mission and gave the report to Prince Trion. Now, I accidentally chose to do this mission again.

The guy just inside Davoi now wants me to collect three coded memos in order to complete this mission. Has anyone else done this?? Does anyone know which orcs will drop these?

Any help or information would be appreciated!

It doesn't......I've checked under everything I can think of, and haven't been able to find it.

Well, I'm stuck doing it....and I don't know where to go to get the memos....I tried the exclamation point from mission 2-2, but that didn't do anything....I killed some lower level fighters and cursemakers near the entrance, but so far nothing....I'd just like to find out who will drop these so I can get on with the missions!

Exactly what mission does your mission log say you are on?

Interesting, the wiki might be wrong and the mission is repeatable. The 3 codes might be found at L-8, K-7 and J-7 in Davoi.

If what you need is there, the wiki might need to be updated.

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I died twice trying to find out why the instructions from the previous posts weren't working. After finishing this mission for the second time, I decided to fill in the gaps with detailed instructions.

Please understand that these instructions apply only if you have completed this mission once before. If you haven't finished this mission at all, then use the instructions provided at the top of this page. For all the other gamers who accepted this mission for the second time, Please use the detailed instructions provided below. As you will find out, the second time is totally different from the first!

``1. Speak with the gate guard and accept the "Infiltrate Davoi" mission again.
``2. Chocobo to Davoi. Immediately after entering Davoi, you will find Zantaviat hiding behind a tree. Speak with Zantaviat and he will explain your mission.
``3. Depending on your level, you will need invisible to hide from the Orcs and sneak for the bats and lizards. All three will agro if you are too low of level. Orcs are guaranteed to be around. Bats are out at night only. You probably won't run by a lizard.
``4. Run to K-7 (dead end) and click on "!" for the East Block Code.
Run to L-8 (T intersection) and click on "!" for the South Block Code.
Run to J-7 (dead end) and click on "!" for the North Block Code.

``5. After aquiring all three codes, head back to and speak with Zantaviat. He will recognize that you got the codes and tells you to go back to San d'Oria and check in at the gatehouse.
``6. Speak with the San d'Oria gatehouse guard and the mission is finished.
