We had one smn and me /smn deliberately to dissepate 1000 needles, which it spammed. It was a close run thing - Earthen Ward is your friend. We called our npcs just to help absorb the 1k needles it does every few seconds. Wasn't a hard fight. I spawned it too early and we fought it w/o any buffs lol. We were all 75. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-25-2008, 04:07 AM | #5 (permalink) | | NINOMIYA-KUN!! Really, I'd just find some friends who are sitting around town, have them equip pets (/SMN works best for people who don't have pet jobs leveled), and then go beat up on it. I will fly you to the heavens
we can make an early start.

I know we got alot of high lvl ppl that would be willing to go do it but none of then are from sandy so they never had to do it. He basically goes in and solo's it. Provided you have room and clear the other linking sabotender mobs in the area, I don't see why it would be particularly hard. BST could probably do the same, just need to make sure you have room to charm another pet when 1000 needles takes out the regular one. There are plenty of beetles and sabotenders around that hill, it shouldn't be too hard to find cannon fodder for it. You just have to be willing to sit out of range until it's time to go back to the ??? point for your flower. Avatars take half damage from 1000 needles, so a freshly summoned avatar from a 75 SMN would get at most 500 dmg. That's easily survivable. And if not, you can always get a new one. Pet jobs can make this mission trivially easy, kind of like the Bastok one with the dolls in Ro'maeve. You just have to have everyone else realize that they don't need to "Help". | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
