X posted on frequentled fourms: So passing by a mithra Blu/nin tonight named Maylin, I got into a coversation with him/her about functions of blue mage. She admitted that she was using /nin for an "Under Observation" run, and that her static ninja was gone for the night. As the Red Mage aslo had a high level ninja, I was invite to come along as my rdm. So I agree to come along, and as I get prepaired, I notice that the rdm that was chainging to ninja was none other than a mithra named Jenny Of course this poped in some random bad reputation sparked on forums but I thought nothing more of it. I'm not the type to hold grudges, especially if its not my grudge to hold. So as I get ready to do this, we start talking stragity, Jenny, who was typically the red mage in this, started telling me certain things, like what sub to use, what items to carry. Which would probley annoy other people, but this is my first UO run and I'm a paitent person. So I take it in stride. Maylin, as we started our first run, even commented on how Jenny did a 'walkthrough' by pretty much holding someones hand. I diddn't mind at all. This is where the subject of the story, in your point of view, changes, because this isnt about Jenny, other than the fact that I got along with this person quite well. As we finish the first UO run, and the three of us (two mithra in rse, and a hume male, me, in a Royal Squire's robe.) the two mithra begin to scream "GIVE ME COCK!" Of course I'm at first set back, before I realize they mean PeCOCK charm. So jokingly I said it would be irony if on my first orb ever, that a Hume man in a "Blue Dress" would get 'cock' when two hot looking mithra wouldent. Of course here I am thinking FFVII, Cloud, Aerith, and Tifa lining up before the fat man getting inspected for a 'private interview'. And I wasent serious at all, cause everyone knows my luck in FFXI, I'm still 0/30 on CLAIMING Misticmaker for my Moldy Earring. I FARMED for my Scorpion Harness, which I sold to get Pentients rope and other nice mage gear. And I generally have NO luck on Notorious Monsters and BCNMs. (I was 0/11 on Phalanx and Erase before I decided to farm lizards for two months to get it back when the game was new) Well, Jenny did her run first, no drop... same thing with Meylin. So I figure what the hell. /em cockteases the Sobbing Eyes. ... Apparently, villans in Final Fantasy prefer men in blue dresses. On my first ever run Under Observation orb of my own... I got a Peacock Charm. That one drop has made up for ALL the bullsh*t I have gone through with NMs and BCNMs, and I got it for being nice to a Notiourious Player, helping people out naturally, and not being afraid to submitting my character to a lifetime of gay jokes. Talk about Karma.

Hilarity. Congratulations! Maybe you should farm in an evening gown. I hear it has a hidden TH+1.

Congratulations on getting a Peacock Charm! I mean, that's like 2mil per Accuracy Bonus. That's the downside of being a Melee class in FFXI. You need all the darn Accuracy you can get but they're just too expensive. I really don't like that BCNM hence I lost two times with a crappy strategy. I'm one to believe that everyone has a "Luck Meter" (this is a karma thing, not in the game) that as the more time passes, it'll fill up and when it's at its peak, your luck will come in the form of a Peacock Charm smacking you in your face. Some people's "Luck Meter" grows faster than others. Like, for example, me always seeing 1g bazaars in Jeuno. So far, I've gotten a Traveler's Mantle, Energy Earrings x2, Sniper's Ring, and an Alumine Haubert all for 1g each. Something I don't really brag about. My "Luck Meter" grows quick. =P
