Well i certainetly remember you..although i wish i can be of a higher lvl..i was a real lvl slacker in beta and i got the game late so theres no way i can every catch up to you that quickly.

All i can say is i am sorry i cannot lvl with you at the moment, i am lvl 34, its a far cry from what your real lvls is...so thats a shame..and i am also sorry i aint on the LS enough, because i am trying to help mine grow and prosper >< Well i do hope to party with you soon...there are ups and downs for everyone...but we just have to let go of the downs ^^

Yeah, Xeno definately is one of those people who helps contribute to the FF community. Although I have only PT'ed with Xeno once (and it was while he was leveling his sub). I can attest to the fact that he is a good guy. Not only to party with, but also willing to lend a hand, he helped me do my AF3. So I don't really know where I am going with this/what I am trying to say, but thanks for the help Xenobyte, If you or anyone else ever needs anyone for anything dont hesitate to /tell Krelian :spin:

............. If this doesn't make any sense. Sorry, I had a very long post only to get deleted because I pressed the wrong button. So I am a little peeved right now typing all over again, or trying to.

Loyalty in this game is almost non-existant. This game is more about individuals rather than a community, a Linkshell, or a guild. Which is somewhat disturbing, considering SE wants you to be grouped to do everything (ie just to get some damn exp).

Now, in any other game. Guild's or LS's (whatever you want to call it), come's first. You belong to that, you come second and naturally so. This game however, it is the guild that seems to have the privilege to have you. You should be recognized as part of the guild, not yourself. And thats where the selfishness start.

Earlier post, Rugal made a very good point. I, too, have never seen a game with so much selfishness. People asking for help outside their LS? Having to do almost everything on their own?Why is that? The LS should be the one helping you. Are peoples time that important in this game? I don't believe so.

To put this in perspective. It is normal for a guild to stay for WEEKS for a member. We stayed for over 3 weeks (taking turns on who was available) camping cleric epic NPC for 4 clerics (clerics are like WHMS). Is that something that is done one in a million? Not really, that happens all the time infact, but usually 1 week max, we just did it 4 straight times to get it out of the way. I just don't see that happening in this game, ever.

This game severly lacks the community feel, the comradery, the loyalty and worse of all, it lacks the sense of pride. Everyone is so bent up on trying to outdo someone, individually.

The game mechanics and the structure of the game attributes a huge part of this. In any MMORPG, guilds/ls ALWAYS stick together, either it is quest, exp, NMs, everything. But the mechanics isn't as flexible as the rest.

When you meet someone, they become your friend. Few days down the road, poof, gone. Meet someone else, same thing. It seems like it's a never ending cycle.

A big part of this are the Linkshells itself. It was a mistake to enable people to have multiple Linkpearls. People jumping Linkshells like it is nothing.

The first online game I played was not even an MMORPG (Air Warrior, a flight sim on AOL), that was about 10 years ago. Once you joined a guild/ls/squad, etc, you are part of that. Nothing else. The same with the second online game and first real RPG for me (Legends of Kesmai, man I miss that game so much). The thing is, those games didn't even have guild functions enabled. People communicated through tells, meeting somewhere in game, or in a chat channel. But people were loyal. They knew once they leave, they just can't comeback.

People might say that SE did not intent for LS to be like guilds, but more of chat channel. They should have just made that people can make their own channels if that was the case. Having people have multiple LS backfired.

I don't see myself playing this game few months down the road. Shorter if I get into WoW beta (emails are going to be sent soon btw) That said, I am just waiting for WoW or EQ2 to come out. So that I can join my old guild and friends (who btw quit months ago or did not bother to play). There are only about 2 left, out of 10+, that decided to play FF. If anyone is thinking of playing either of those (leaning more towards WoW ATM), perhaps we can hook up there (No, not in a gay way or anything...)

I won't even mention the timesink in this game. Not just your regular timesink in MMORPGs either. FF have the WORST timesinks that I have ever seen, i mean it leaves you feeling like you did not accomplish anything. Everyone has had this several times, but that's another rant.

I'd just like to say that im truly touched by everyones responses and it honestly makes me feel like my time here so far has actually been spent in a worthwhile way. Thank you everyone who replied and everyone who read it and didnt reply. It makes the burden of some of the things i mentioned a lot easier to swallow knowing there are more like me out there and that some of you actually do appreciate the things people do.
