Tetra Master - just a game or does it do more?

Sorry to flood the board with questions...

Is Tetra Master just simply an online game or does the game somehow help with the online gameplay? Like by winning cards in Tetra Master can you trade them for rare items that will appear in your gameplay?

Can you play against other players or just the AI?

TetraMaster is a separate game from FFXI, they share almost no relationship... only that they're both PlayOnline compatible. In other words, if you spend your time playing TM, it won't help you in FFXI at ALL. It's just there for people that like it... and I'm planning on getting it... just for the heck of it. :thumbsup:

I wish it were like Final Fantasy IX where you could challenge other players in the game... and fight monsters and get new cards that they drop. That would make the integration of TM and FFXI very interesting... and open up a whole new area of economy.

Basically, they could set up a Treno(is that the right name?) type place where you compete in TM championships. You could end up winning mad gil by just playing TM... which could be considered another guild to be part of.(Gambler/Card Player Guild) :biggrin:

I'm kinda bummed out that the game won't allow you to play with other gamers. I think that would have been one of the coolest things ever.

Desite this, however, I'm really excited about the game so I'm going to suscribe to it. At least for a month to see how I like it.

I think I'm going to shoot an email to Square's support addy and request that the game allow player vs. player mode. Not that they care. Not that they're listening. I guess it won't hurt to try. Most they can ever say is no, right?

heh, tetra master's fun, and easy once u understand it^^ Probably a game for strategic players tho, takes a while to learn all the tricks of the trade. What i like doing tho is bidding in the auction for cards that have less than an hour left til theyre sold, and are really rare, and extremely cheap (eg: I've gotten all the trance ffix characters for under100 each^^)... but i'm a collector^^;
