i was wondering if i was those two would i be able to summon and have a dragon pet? or would it pretty much be useless?

With summoner as your main job, you can still summon, but you could not summon the Dragoon's wyvern. Summoning the Dragoon's wyvern is the Dragoon's 2hr ability, and you do not get the 2hr ability of a subjob. And, quite frankly, Dragoon is not a particularly good subjob, and it's especially bad for a summoner. Dragoon will you you no MP boost (as Dragoons don't exactly have them spell-casting abilities) which is very important for a summoner to have. Remember, a summon, while it is summoned, constantly drains the MP, and when you are out, the summon poofs. The more MP you got, the longer you can keep out a summon. :spin:
