Hi.
I hadn't played FFXI in a couple of months and after downloading an insane number of patches today, I returned. Everything is great but I've encountered one very silly, but very important problem. I can't send /tell messages anymore in Japanese.
I'm thinking it's just a configuration problem somewhere in all of the updates that I need to change (I haven't changed any of my equipment or setup AFAIK since before). I have the PS2 version of FFXI and a generic UK USB keyboard. Usually to send a tell, I type in:
/t Name “ú–{Œê
But now, when I press the button below escape to change character sets, it switches me back to /say (or my default communication channel)
I think this change is from the expansion. Is there any way to send /tell messages the way I'm used to, or is there a new way I don't know about? I don't want to upset my Japanese friends by not being able to talk to them easily ^^;
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm sorry for being so stupid.
