Worldpass with the Beta?

Just curious as to whether anyone has tried/checked to see if you can use a worldpass when creating a new character to jump onto a specific server.

There's only one beta server, so using a world pass would be pointless.

Allow me to rephrase the question.

Has anyone made an attempt to use a worldpass at the character creation screen so as to play on a server other than Cactuar? To spell it out further, a non-Beta server? I have a pretty good idea what the answer is, but I'd prefer to have the facts.

I cant remember where but square said that you couldnt world pass to non beta servers

hehe, j/k. the beta server isnt directly linked to the others. they arent accesible from one another.

no i've tried it with a friend, it won't let him enter a WP

Update on the matter, forgot to enter the world name, he bought a WP for me to join the server he's on (Cactuar) and i bought him one, we both get a FF11 error 1338. So importers can't join there and vice versa :( too bad

Square did announce that World Passes will not be able to be used by Beta testers and that Japanese version players will not be able to use a World Pass in order to get onto the Cactuar server.
