So is there any advantage to NOT having signet cast on you? Also, how long does it last?

When its not getting cast on you you do not get conquest points which you should want, and it last for an hour or two.

Signet is very good. You get Conquest points which open more shops and such in your town and decrease the prices of items sold there. It also increases the chance of finding a crystal after your battles.

By the way, Scuzzlebutt, I think I saw you in either Bastok or Windurst when I was over Hakori's house playing the beta. My Hume is named Genrou and his Taru Taru is Hakori.
