Monk and Warrior are probobly the 2 best subjobs for samurai.

they both have good melee skills that will help support the samurai class, but the advantage warrior has over monk is the ability to taunt, wich many parties look for.

Yes Warrior in my opinion is the best to for samurai but I am using my knowlage choose the best one for you but Warrior is the best one to pick

Im still going to stick with the Samurai / Ranger ... since it's over looked alot but is actually pretty powerful ... but I still havent decided if I should be hume or elvaan or taru trau ... just so hard to decided... Elvaans are so god damn tall ... taru's are so small and hume's are just to normal ... why do i have to be so picky lol

samurai/ranger won't really be any good until about lv60 when you can get sidewinder, otherwise you just get average bow skills which are only semi powerful.
And even at 60 I'm only planning on being sam/rng for things like burning circle fights, not something to use all the time.
But I'll see how it works out, now I just have to level bow 70 more levels (TT)

I know Bards get half effectiveness, but still - a Samurai/Bard would be pretty good.. the stats aren't bad at all and it still has very similiar strength to a warrior sub, for some reason. It's going to be a pain to get though :{
