Checking the expansion

Is there any way I can check to make sure I have the expansion pack installed correctly and enabled on my account?

there is no apparent evidence for you to confirm if it works...the best way is try going to the new area, but since you have a char in windurst its kinda hard.
The easiest I can think of is, try make a char in Bastok and go to Bastok mines and inside the cave of Zeruhn Mines, walk straight and you`ll see a gate with 2 Npcs, the other NPC isnt near the gate the other one near the gate. talk to the one near the gate. If he give u options (enter or not) then you got your expansion workin. Zeruhn mines doesnt have aggro so its ok if you go as lvl one...

when you start teh game, you will see the Visions logo under the Main FFXI logo... on the main screen... before you confirm your character...
