Well...It would seem that it is over, haven't heard of anyone recieving an email confirming they in beta for a couple days here, so I would assume that it's final, and that I didn't make it...:( I was really hoping to get in, I really wanted a new game to play....I need an mmorpg like FFXI, with GOOd graphics...to tie me over til release....Any suggestions?

:( Goodluck to beta testers...and maybe I'll be the very last one to be accepted...:)

Yeah, lets write some emails to square saying how upset we are >_>;. Well thats what I WANT TO DO, but its wrong and stupid and blah. It'll be the final blow when they announce it on thier webpage that some of us who really wanted in didn't get in. Which might be real soon. :dead: (In conclusion my grammar is as bad as my need for FFXI  )

Square-Enix will post when they're finished, much like they did with PS2 beta applicants.

They are not done yet, the reason you have not heard about it is all beta related posts are being locked, so there is no way to tell who received their letters recently.

Who locked them and where are they located and how do I get in? I am a beta tester and was not told about this.

except of course they posted that 6 days after they had stopped sending out apps... so i'd say it's done. Sorry everyone who didn't get in.

also, in respect to "They are not done yet, the reason you have not heard about it is all beta related posts are being locked, so there is no way to tell who received their letters recently."

whether or not this is true, you would have seen a greater increase in the "Yes" section on the poll from the frontpage, like we did for the two days PC emails went out, and since we haven't, it is likely that they have stopped sending them. However, i guess there still is some hope until it goes up on S-E's site....

its just like it was for the PS2 applications. first 2 days it was a storm after that it was all rumor. then they finally posted. S-E is KNOWN for not updating and letting people know whats up on their site. whether this is for reasons such as to keep us on our toes we don't know. but i already ordered my import with confidence that i didn't get accepted into the PC version. i don't care about any of the beta test any more. as long as they put out the NA version and its good thats wonderful for you guys ^.^ i never really wanted the NA version anyways. i like the way the japanese one looks and i want to learn japanese through it anyways. it'll be a hard road specialy after all you importers switch to NA but. hell. i don't mind!!!

Good luck to those who didn't get in and have fun those who did. for those who didn't games that are GOOD are hard to find. i recomend finding a game with some replay value because even though the stores are saying PC comes out in october. thats still 3 somethign months away. Have fun!

I signed up for the beta about halfway between the beginning and end of the sign-up period... Needless to say, I didn't get accepted. I think it's safe to assume that first-come-first-serve takes precidence over most of the other factors. (No, I don't mean that it's the only thing they looked at...)

I signed up the first day, and I didn't get picked.

i think it might be first come first served. I posted within an hour of the beta applications going up, and I got in. It probably wasn't EXACTLY first come first served, but they probably had a quotient of X number of computers with Y operating system, Z connection, and A graphics card. The first who applied with those specs got in. That's what I think, anyway.

nope, thats not it, especially look at ps2, everyone basically hads similar specs, and some said they applied like the last day, probably they randomly reviewed somesome they declined, but not all were probably looked at

I agree. It's definatly wasn't first come first serve. Like yinpalm said, the PS2 testers specs were very similar, one of the few, if only, difference being the connection. And for the PC, I kinda think it was random for the most part. My PC was pretty unique when I signed up, then again I had a pretty crappy video card then too. (then Rage 128 Pro, now Radeon 9500 Pro. )

FYI, I didn't get in. Have fun you luck testers, you. See ya in October. :)
