I'm a little confused on the sub-job system. I heard it can only be half your level. Does that mean that a sbujob is always at half of your main job? So if I was a BM 30 and just got WM I would automatically be BM30/WM15? Does it mean you can only be half you main job? Like if I was normally a BM 20, then switched to WM ?I would be a 1BM/1WM? Does it mean it's always half of it's normal level? So if I was 20 BM, then got the WM, and switched WM to main I would be 1 WM/ 10 BM

Take this example of a single character with these jobs and levels:
level 50 warrior
level 23 thief
level 35 red mage
From this pool, we combine the jobs and this is what we can get:
- Main Thief 23
- Sup Warrior 25
=warrior is half of the main job level
- Main warrior 50
- Sup red mage 17
=red mage is half of the main job level
Now as for just switching main job and no support, then you will be level 1 with the new job, so following the above table, you:
switch your main job to smething completely new like White Mage and start at level 1. Say you want to add a support job to the WM then you will have 2 level 1 jobs.
Just a reminder that support jobs are quested at a certain level (I won't disclose the level).
Thanks for that info I was wondering about that myself.
That info was absolutely incorrect
Sub job is half of the current main job.
Using gurico's jobs...
The correct combination would be
THF 23/ WAR 11
or
WAR 50/ RDM 25
However if you do WAR/ THF it would NOT be WAR 50/ THF 25 because thief was never raised past 23 so it would be
WAR 50/ THF 23
You can only lvl a job as yopur main so if you just startd a monk and it is only lvl 6 and you made it your sub job, you would be
WAR 50/ MNK 6
Or you could be...
MNK 6/ WAR 3
MNK 6/ RDM 3
MNK 6/ THF 3
I hope this clears things up
