Just downloaded this benchmark and tested it out but it looks like the resolution is set to 800 by 600 not something I would ever use. Is there anyway to up it to like 1280 by 1024?

nope, benchmark isnt a benchmark if you can set it to diff quality

actually the benchmark runs at 640*480, you can take a screenshot during the benchmark process to confirm this size
unfortunately, there is no way to raise the resolution on the official benchmark, this is probably due to the fact that the test must be small enough to be easily downloadable and also because it is only meant to test the minimum requirements of FFXI, not whether you'll be able to use higher resolutions or quality settings
this small fixed resolution is one of the reasons why FFXI benchmark scores do not improve greatly with video card upgrades beyond around GeForce4 Ti4200 and Radeon 8500 (non-LE) cards, the resolution is so small that improvements in video card speed have very little effect on the overall score, at least in comparison to CPU speed
and to cosmic: many benchmark utilities allow the changing of graphical settings to test performance at different quality levels and resolutions, but of course, direct comparisons can only be made when the exact same settings are used (something which is hard to accomplish, even when using a benchmark that is not configurable like the FFXI benchmark)
