Class Changing Questions

I have a couple of questions about this:

1. When you change a class, do you keep your previous character class levels, or do you need to begin all over from level 1?

2. When you change character classes, do your other classes gradually decrease their levels (i.e. Final Fantasy II's system) or does it stay the same?

3. Are there any penalties or any money you need to pay in order to change class?

4. Can you do all classes with one character?

5. How many classes are there (including the expansion)...

1) You keep them and they don't go back to 1. The only way you can level down is by dying.

2) Once again, they don't slowly decrease in level or anything. If you don't touch them, nothing happens.

3) No, you can do it any time at any mog house.

4) Yes, but for the advance jobs, you need to unlock them before they become available to you. Once they do, you can start playing as them as well.

5) Warrior, Monk, Thief, Black mage, White mage, Red mage, Paladin, Dark Knight, Beast Master, Ranger, Bard, Ninja, Samurai, Dragoon, Summoner - in no particular order, fifteen in total.
