Quick lil' "?" about names

Is FF XI a game that only allows one person to have a name? and if so is it cap and punctuation sensative? i wouldn't mind, infact i would like it to be that way.

Nice. In MMORPGs i'm pretty big on being origional... i'm even known to equip weaker items just so i A. look better and B. don't look like everyone else heh kinda goofy like that.

A player can have several characters if only he/she pays for montly fee for each character.
You can have several characters in the same 'world' (on the same server, I mean) at one time, but when players want to create another character in the same world, they must buy the 'World Pass' to create it beforehand with thier first character or their friend's character in the same world.
And the character names must be established of their relationship with their player.

The character names must start with a capital letter, and all the other letters must be small letters. Only alphabet can be used in them. (Any symbols cannot be used.)

This is a problem in my perspective. What if you want your character's name to be something like "McDonald"? Is there a way to make a name like this?

I dunno I don't think you can do that thought... I think is better that way so people won't have names like sAkEn_SOLdieR or PoOkySqUalLX

I know what you mean. You dont want a good, holsome game like this turned into a game with names like " PoWeR_..._-ExTrEmE-`~~~-_GoNnA_``~slice_ you_ up"

No, it will be automatically changed into "Mcdonald" by system.
