I know in PSO you have to be extra careful when your saving and power outages are a sure mem card corruption lol... i was wondering are there any precautions you should take while saving or things you should and shouldn't do when u log off? course i know saving to a server is a lot dif than to a mem card, still curious.
-Thanks much-:handsdown

No... not really. If you were playing and then you unplugged your power you would be in the same spot as you left off. Something might occur while you try to log off while lagging. I remember I was playing Asheron's Call and I logged off while running and ended up in another town. It takes like a couple of minutes to recognize that you are off the servers.

Where PSO characters stored on memory cards? If so then the characters could be lost but if one the server they can't be lost unless Square really f***s up.

good to hear:biggrin: square... you better not F' up! if anything drastic were to happen i'm sure they could do a (gulp) rollback on the servers... again that would require sumthin drastic and not for one player for the entire FF world heh.
thanks btw saken, your quick to reply:thumbsup:
PSO and FFXI are two totally different games. Most of the problems with PSO are not present in FFXI.

Yeah i figured that saving it to the server rather than a mem card would eliminate most of the probs, juss double checkin. and that's very good news to hear starving artist.

What kind of connection ya got?

log off is instant in your mog house, you have to kneel on the floor and wait for a 30 second count down anywhere else. If square doesn't detect packets from you after a few seconds, your character disappears from the world. Basically, you never have to worry about things happening to your character while you're not there. What you do have to worry about, however, is what's there waiting for your character when you come back. you don't lose stuff when you die, but you lose EXP and you CAN level down, so it really sucks
