My job levels

I think this is a reall y good and useful question. We are all aware that we get job levels and all that but i was wondering what would happen in this situation. Say, for example, I'm a warrior/monk. I switch jobs to, say, blk mage/ wht mage.
If, for whatever reason, I choose to go back to warrior/monk,
will i start out on the level i left this job at or will it reset and make me start my old job at level 1 or whatever is the lowest for this job???

when you switch you job back you keep your lvs but they can be caped as a sub job
