ok here i go ,
FFXI may play fine on 56k modem and thats good an all but..
what about patching ,
its like

"yay look at me i got FFXI and 56k modem and they say it'll run fine"

*install FFXI*

"hmm ? whats this? a patching screen oh well , i shoulda expected this"

*sits in horror*

" 200mb patch ya gotta be kiddin me"

playin on a 56k is good , getting to be able to play on 56k , that another thing

so how big are the patchs , and how frequent are they

(sorry for the rambling story line)

Why dont you go ADSL, Wireless, or Satelite? Almost the same speed as DSL...

Well that is what i'm saying you still have a choice for wireless and satelite whether our outside the area or not. (I'm barly inside my area by 200 feet  )
