the problem is when testing the connection it says i'm online but the registeration data havn't been sent to sce consumer service...then when i try the demos i can't connect to the server(havn't tried a online game yet...getting one soon).....so is it that the demo servers are closed or is it my connection....and i use the ethernet straight to the ps2 network adapter..no routers are used....aafter that i tried the dail up connection...it worked >_< and sent the registration data to scea.......please i need help.

I use ethernet too. It said it couldn't send the info to the consumer service for me also. But its just that the servers go down sometimes.

Yea they work fine. But if you use DSL/Cable just reset the modem and hub/router everytime you plug it in the PS2.

No... just plug it in the PS2 and then reset the modem. It should work. Or maybe try reseting it then do ISP set up again. You said you send your data to scea through dial up... you may need to redo the ISP setup. I gotta start heading out for school so PM me and I'll get back to ya.

Is the USB modem connecting to your network adapter, or to the front of your ps2?

Still not working? You tried everything I said? Call Sony they'll help. Bu like I said just set up the ISP again with the cable mondem it should work fine. Actually... the demo servers may be down...rent a game with online capabilities (Tony Hawk 4) and test it.

hmm you may have to call up your isp and ask them for additional help.. i'[ll look into it and get abck to you BTW are u inputting the phone line into the Ps2 NA?
if u are u cannot do that reason being ur on boradband and not dial up.. so just get abck to me on how exactly u have ur system hooked up and if you have a cat5 wire ..
You may need a router. " May "

well.....i guess it's the demos servers that are down..and rylos...i used both dailup and broadband...both said i'm online...but with broadband they cannot verify a connection to the server......guess i have to wait and try an online game...then i'll see whats with it...BTW is there any usb routers out there?i mean usb to ethernet ofcourse
