Let's not be too hasty here everyone, E3 is still happening for another three days. At the end of E3 everyones cards should be on the table and then we will have all the cold hard facts.
Even if nothing new emerges from E3, SQEX and Sony can still change the release dates, nothing is ever set in stone in the real world. ^_^

Just remember that a lot has not been said and in time everything will be revealed, just have a little more patience, we have all been waiting a long time, so what is another three days?

Sony will be publishing the PS2 version here in the US. The release date for FFXI is now completely up to when Sony feels like releasing the HDD.:(

Gnome, your statement is the EXACT reason why Sony is delaying FFXI. They believe if they delay FFXI, consumers like you will purchase Everquest instead.

I actually think Everquest is a decent game but I refuse to spend a dime on it after what Sony is trying to pull. I would rather replay some old FF games while I wait for FFXI!

Sorry but i've lost hope..they've crossed the final drawbridge and cut the ropes on this one..i'll still talk about ffxi or whatever..but i'm just going to forget baout getting it since i'm not willing to spend $800 + for a pc to run it or even hold out until 2004 for it on ps2 since ps3 is supposed to come out in 2005..it's just not worth it. That's like buying the HDD and game for ps2 for maybe a year's worth of playing and 1 game supporting it.

Actually I read that Sony was having some problems with the PS3 and it might not be completed in 2005, like I said, nothing is ever set in stone. Maybe Sony will delay their PS3 too? ^^
Even if the PS3 does come out in 2005 I would still play FFXI, like someone said in another thread, even if other games graphics are superior, they don't breathe of life like all of the FF's do. =D
