able to register with visa gift card?

Hi, I'm planning on trying to register using a Visa gift card, but I was wondering what I put for the billing address etc. When I buy the card will it be set up so it's my address that is the billing address and my name as the owner? Do Visa gift cards work in the first place?

I'm sorry for this newb question but I just want to make sure before I go spend money on a gift card. :(

I have not used a Visa gift card to play but I have been told they do work with FFXI. You would put your name and billing address in for that when prompted, I would think.

EDIT: Gift cards that are VISA or MASTERCARD are the only ones I've been told work in case anyone else was thinking of using a card.
