FFXI @ Anime North in Toronto

Hey all I'm a long time reader but first time poster first off I'd like to say hi second of all I'd like to say a little bit about myself and about this convention >^.^<

Alright so I'm in Ontario Canada and I'm looking to find other fans of ffxi that might be heading out to Anime North this year, now I will admit there is some slight other motive I'm getting this out too, recently I came to take over being the Site Manager of Final Fantasy News, Trailers, Screenshots, Previews, Reviews, Guides -- Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan Vault (http://ffvault.ign.com/) (yes it is out of date but we're working really hard on it) and while at anime north we're going to be featuring a panel for ffxi members to get together for a bit to discuss the game, answer questions, tell heroic stories and although not confirmed yet hoping to even have a costume contest. SO really was wondering if anyone might be going it's held in Toronto May 23-25th

Also if anyone is going we are also looking for 1-2 more people who might be intrested in working on the panel with us as well if this sounds like something you might be interested in pm me >^.^<

As for meeting up with others, I'd like to, but I don't know that I'll have the time. I don't know when the panel is, or how that might conflict with my schedule ... but if you're at Anime Name That Tune, drop by and say hi to me (I'll be in the tech booth or area, depending which room we're in.)

I have a Cousin living in Toronto but I'd actually rather avoid him if I can >. > and my folks can't really just up and go either so I doubt I'll be able to make it unless some of my friends want to drive there and spring for a Hotel for a night or two.

Yeah I'd love to come, but I'm in Texas... about as far from Canada as I can get and still be considered a U.S. Citizen... Too bad you guys aren't paying for an all expense trip up there for it ^^ Next time bring it to Texas and I'll join you. ^^ Although... I am going to A-Kon...shit I didn't even think to see if they have any panels for that...lol

Just figured I'd post a quick thank you to everyone that showed up. we had a really bad location that was impossible to find and we were barely even mentioned in the book but somehow the numbers were amazing we had well over 50 people there we had actually run out of chairs. When I first saw the room and the book I thought that 10 people would have been a lot it really was awesome to see so many people coming out to support the game, and have a general good time. It was my first convention so I have a lot of awesome ideas and things to work on for the next one. and you'd better believe after this on it will only get better and more fun. >^.^<

lol I know how you feel I think I got like 3-4 hours a night for that 3 days. man last night was sooooooooooooooooo nice to actually sleep lol. but I was glad that you made it. I was hoping to stop by and visit at the name that tune but I ended up getting caught up in other site stuff ; ; don't know if yo were there for it but you did give me the idea to do a name that tune for ffxi music lol lol
